MERCURY... ANCIENT SPACEMAN?

The Roman god Mercury was a swift and just messenger capable of sending messages to Heaven at lightning speeds. He was depicted as having wings sprouting from his ankles and head emphasizing his speed and agility. The Mercury of the Romans was a derivative of a long line of information technologists. The oldest known reference to a Deity resembling Mercury was made by the Ancient Sumer. They described creatures known to them as Nephilim, meaning "lofty Ones" or "Those who came to Earth from Heaven".

The Sumer sculpted images of these beings as half bird and half man, they wrote extensively about how these beings travelled from Earth to Heaven and back at will. One possibility is that the Sumer wanted to make a clear statement that these man like beings could fly. One of the well documented stories details the fascination and desire the Nephilim had for human women and how they bred with them generating a race of super hybrids. The Hebrew Bible eludes to these events in Genesis chapter six. The Sumer's Nephilim became the Egyptian god Thoth. Thoth was depicted as having the head of an Ibis bird and the body of a man. A very close iteration of the Nephilim as described by the Sumer 2000 years earlier. Thoth was the Egyptian god that created writing, chronicled all knowledge and was the measurer

and recorder of time. Thoth was thought to be scribe to the gods and maintained a great library of scrolls. His images are prolific among the ruins of ancient Egyptian temples. Thoth always has one form of instrument or device in his hand or about his head. What these curious items are and their purpose may never be understood. Thoth evolved into the Greek god Hermes a thousand years on resuming his post as herald to the gods. Hermes carries messages from earth to the gods in Heaven. All of these figures carried an instrument called by the Romans a Caduceus. A staff with two snakes entwined around it. When real life Roman messengers carried important news or information across the battlefield to the opposing leadership they in fact bore a Caduceus. This provided complete protection for messengers, no one would dare harm them if they carried a Caduceus. The Sumerians were the first to document the appearance of the Nephilim and record the amazing and thought provoking behavior of a being that inspired many great empires. Were Mercury and all his progenitors spacemen? Were their behavior and capabilities patterned after an individual from a space fairing civilization that once lived on Earth? In the Atlantium continuum the answer is YES. The Ancient Sumer recorded many stories of the Nephilim, the Hebrew Bible refers to them as Fallen Angels and their mark on humanity has continued until today. ATLANTIUM Episode XIV

WHEN GIANTS RULED

"And there we saw the Nephilim, the sons of Anak, which come of the Nephilim: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight."
- Numbers 13:33

The young intrepid Jack went up the beanstalk and discovered a world where everything was large. Jack was amazed at the Giants that dwelt at the top of his magic stalk of beans. The story of Jack and the Beanstalk as told by Edwin Sydney Hartland in 1890 reflects a plethora of both oral and written stories of giant men that roamed the earth in ancient times. The Hebrew Bible contains numerous references to giants. In the first book of Samuel the epic story of David and Goliath takes center stage 1000 years b.c. Great care is given to the description of Goliath, a nine foot tall warrior with a giant shield and sword. David eventually takes the massive giant out using just a smooth stone and a sling shot. One deft shot to Goliath's forehead and he is down. Goliath was a descendant of the Nephilim, a race of giants that inhabited the earth for thousands of years. Moses described these giants in the book of Genesis as the offspring of the "Sons of God" who came down from Heaven and mated with human women. The story of these giants doesn't stop in the days of the Bible. There are in fact numerous references to giant men in many ancient cultural texts. Aaron Wright found the Conneaut Giants in a burial mound on the Ohio plains in 1800. He reported that he found a race of giants buried in the mound and that the individuals were nine to ten feet in height. He further reported that the bones were proportionate to regular sized humans. A number of metal tools were also found near the mound. Fossilized bones of these giant men are surfacing all around the world. A giant femur bone was recently discovered in Turkey. The bone would be from an individual 10-12 feet tall and weighing over 500 pounds. The Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan wrote in 1520 of a race of giants that lived near the Patagonian coast. "One day, when no one was expecting it, we saw a giant, completely naked, by the sea. He danced and jumped and, singing, spread sand and dust over his head...He was so tall that the tallest among us reached only to his waist. He was truly well built...The captain named these kind of people Pataghoni. They have no houses but huts, like the Egyptians.
They live on raw meat and eat a kind of sweet root which they call capac. The two giants we had on board ship ate their way through a large basket of biscuits, and ate rats without skinning them. They used to drink a half bucket of water at once". One James Snyder found a giant human foot print frozen in stone along a trail near his home in the Cleveland National Forest. The footprint of a very large individual made thousands of years ago is evidence that these Nephilim inhabited every continent. One of the most amazing stories of giants in the Americas is told by Dr. F. Bruce Russell in 1931. Dr. Russell claimed to have discovered a network of large man made caverns along the California-Nevada-Arizona borders. The story reported by the San Diego Union explained how the good doctor fell into the caves while looking for gold in an old abandoned mine shaft. Once he regained his composure after falling he explored the caverns and discovered a number of giant mummies. The mummies were wearing suits made from some type of hair that he didn't recognize. He said the mummies were at least nine to ten feet in length and were lying near a number of articles. He seemed to believe that whoever built the cave city was very advanced. Curiously he claimed that he found a type of oven that appeared to use some kind of radio waves to cook. No microwaves in 1931. Did Dr. Russell see to many Buck Rodgers afternoon matinees? Was Ferdinand Magellan sea sick and hallucinating? In the Atlantium continuum the answer is NO. Hundreds of accounts throughout history have been recorded of the giant Nephilim. Many documented discoveries of fossils from these giants are now surfacing. It is possible that these giants ruled the earth long before a worldwide flood decimated their ranks. ATLANTIUM.
